Hi, I’m AARON MCCRAE, LMHCA

Aaron (he/him) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling in Higher Education from the University of Delaware, with undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Religious Studies at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He is currently pursuing post-master’s training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler Graduate School. Beyond his formal education, Aaron has trained in a range of complementary healing modalities, including breathwork, addiction recovery, psychedelic preparation and integration, and mindfulness-based practices. His mindfulness training continues to shape his work as a therapist.

Over the past 25 years, Aaron’s professional journey has taken him from college campuses to corporate spaces to running his own small health and wellness business. Most recently, he worked as a therapist in a community mental health agency in rural Washington. No matter the setting, his commitment to service has remained at the core of his work. He specializes in helping people navigate transitions, move through obstacles, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. He takes pride in holding space with kindness and compassion, fostering deep relationships with both individual clients and small groups.

Aaron provides individual therapy and facilitates small groups using an integrative approach that blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices. He primarily works with adults navigating life transitions, searching for purpose or meaning, and looking to cultivate greater self-worth. His work is grounded in the belief that each person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and rediscovering their inherent goodness.
